What is Energy Medicine?
The human body, and all living things for that matter, has a bioelectric field that surrounds and bathes it. This energy field is an integral part of our innate natural healing ability and is responsible for our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health. When this bioenergy field is smoothly “flowing” and balanced, our bodies are capable of achieving their best genetic potential with peak performance and elevated well-being.
Energy Medicine’s Applied Techniques
Energy medicine can utilize a number of methods, practices and techniques in order to balance, unblock, and strengthen energetic patterns in the bioenergy field. These applied techniques can help relieve the body of painful conditions, as well as calm the body’s reaction to stressors. Methods include Acupuncture, Reiki, Yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Qi, Craniosacral Therapy, Chanting, Color Therapy, Sound Healing, Breath Work, and some types of meditation. Energy medicine is predominantly non-invasive, and gentle on the body and, in a sense, allows the body to heal, repair, and restore itself – as it was naturally designed to do
The Immune Response
Energy Medicine can unleash the body’s innate healing and repair system and trigger an immune response, in order to promote wellness, well-being, pain reduction or elimination.
John will, on occasion, utilize a number of other techniques in his sessions. Included in his repertoire are approaches to healing such as Cupping, P.E.M.F, and Sotai.

T. Tillotson, a Maryland teacher
“John is a master healer and his craniosacral practice is an art in itself. I left each session experiencing the benefits of the balance John imparted on these systems in my body. I attribute this to John’s skill and practice helping people feel their best. It is a very subtle therapy that has profound effects. John is consummate at his practice of reading the craniosacral outputs and working to bring them into harmony for the patient’s increased peace, relaxation, and system interconnectedness.”

Energy Medicine is Vibrational Medicine
Another way to understand Energy Medicine is to understand that our bodies have a vibrational quality to them. Each tissue type vibrates at a unique frequency rate. Bones, organs, blood vessels, muscles and fascia all have a subtle but different vibration rate.
MRI Utilizes an Understanding of Vibrational Medicine
The development of the MRI was based upon the fact that each tissue and organ vibrate at unique rates. When excited by a magnetic pulse from an MRI, the atoms are bumped up to a more rapid oscillation. When the magnetic pulse stops, these excited atoms give off energy as they drop down to their normal oscillation. The MRI measures the energy given off with that “drop”. Because each tissue and organ’s energy drop is distinct because their normal vibration is unique, the MRI software pieces together a picture based on all of the energy “drops” and can create an image of the inside of our bodies. If the tissue is diseased, it will vibrate differently and the energy “drop” will be different than in healthy cells of that same tissue.
The Body responds to the Vibrational Stimulation in our Environment
This vibratory quality of our bodies also responds to other forms of vibrational stimulation. If you have two identical tuning forks and strike one of them, the other one will also begin to vibrate in resonance. Our bodies are like that. Certain music will elicit emotions from us, based upon the tonal vibrations our bodies experience. Even light – which is a form of vibration utilizing wavelengths – has an effect on us. Spending time out of doors will most commonly lift a mood, improve an appetite or provide us with an improved night’s sleep.
