About John Hanson
30+ Years Treating Patients
John Hanson is Nationally Certified in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. After graduating from UMass with a degree in Biology/Premed, he joined the world of Hi-Tech. Stressed-induced illness stimulated his search for alternative medical treatments. After successful healing events, he decided to study Acupuncture. John graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture where he taught and served as Clinical Director. He was in private practice for over 30 years, and recently sold his Acupuncture practice to focus on more subtle energetic modalities.
John has trained as an EMT, as well as in Medical QiGong, Usui Reiki, and Craniosacral therapies, the latter through the Upledger Institute. Of particular interest to John is the relationship between the cranial rhythms and the peak performance of the acupuncture meridians.
John applies the diagnostic rigor found in his biology and Traditional Chinese Medicine backgrounds, in order to more thoroughly understand the nature of each patient’s imbalance, and to chart a course of self-correction.
“To say incredible is an understatement! John’s Craniosacral sessions are fabulous! John’s background in Acupuncture coupled with his skilled Craniosacral technique offers a one-of -a-kind energetic healing session. Each session I received was unique and perfect. The shifts that occurred were divinely guided and exactly what I needed on every level; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
John’s touch is gentle yet powerful. His kind demeanor and bedside manner will put you at ease allowing for deep relaxation and a strong connection to the healing energy, it’s transformational and wonderful! John has a gift and to have a session with him is quite a blessing!!”
T.Tillotson, a Maryland teacher
“John is a master healer and his craniosacral practice is an art in itself. I left each session experiencing the benefits of the balance John imparted on these systems in my body. I attribute this to John’s skill and practice helping people feel their best. It is a very subtle therapy that has profound effects. John is consummate at his practice of reading the craniosacral outputs and working to bring them into harmony for the patient’s increased peace, relaxation, and system interconnectedness. ”

John will, on occasion, utilize a number of other techniques in his sessions. Included in his repertoire are approaches to healing such as Cupping, P.E.M.F, and Sotai.
